Wyvale Findon

Good afternoon,

We bought a garden shed from yourselves via the Wyevale Garden Centre at Findon.

We were really pleased with it, but have noticed recently that the inside of the roof is very damp, with water stains. I paid extra for the rubber roofing, so am really surprised this is happening.

I’d be grateful if you could kindly let me know where we go from here.

This is perfectly normal this time of year. This is condensation, trapped moisture in your building. It is nearly impossible for rubber roof to leak. Please air your building as much as possible on fair weather days. Please do not use a heater as this will dry the timber too quickly and can lead to cracks and warping. We recommend three to four coats of Protek royal exterior which is a build-up formula, pushing into all nail holes,small gaps and cracks, all corner joints, door stops, windows, etc. Glass requires sealing with mastic or sealant. Gutters are also recommended to stop water cascading from the roof splashing back and water logging the timbers. All this will ensure you have an impregnable barrier against the elements. All this is on the reverse of your delivery notes to read.
